Annual Land Rover Gathering, Melrose, S.A. – Easter 2012
Since 1994, the Land Rover Register of South Australia has organized an annual gathering for Land Rover enthusiasts. Every year it has been held in Blinman but it has grown so much it is being relocated to Melrose in the southern Flinders Ranges this year.

Dates: LR SA Event - 6th – 9th April.
Note our departure from Brisbane will be on 1st April with return to Brisbane by 15th April.

Costs: For LR SA event only: $75 if paid by 20.03.12 or $85 if paid after that) includes registration of 1 vehicle, camping (3 days) for two people with tickets for Sunday breakfast and Sunday dinner.
Camping: Unpowered sites (but there are hot showers and toilets) at the Melrose Showground.
LR Activities: Best of Breed; Trials; Rock Crawl, Motorkhana, Cross Axle Demo, Winching Demo, Adventure Track and Tag Along Tours.
Trip Details: We will be leaving Brisbane on Sunday 1st April heading to Innamincka then the Flinders Ranges via Blinman and perhaps other detours.
We will arrive at Melrose on Thursday 5th April. While at Melrose, we intend to go on some of the tag along tours which are being organized in conjunction with local property owners and we have been told that some of the routes used are not normally open to the public.
From Mon 9th to 14th, camping incurs an extra daily fee but we'll be leaving on 12th April before the crowds come in for the annual Ute Muster and 'Rock the Mount' concert which is on Saturday 14th.
Leaving Melrose on Thursday 12th, we'll head to Broken Hill and Wilcannia before travelling up the Darling River roads to Louth (completing what we couldn't do due to floods last year – although we may not be able to do it this year either!). So long as we are home on Sunday 15th, we are flexible.
