Bribie Island National Park and Recreation Area Day Trip
7 th November 2021
Join us for a day trip through the Bribie Island inland track to Bribie Ocean Beach near Fort Bribie.
The plan is to meet at Col Fischer Park for sign on and briefing. Then we’ll head up through the
national park to Fort Bribie and setup on the beach for lunch, swim, throw a line in, look around,
relax, or whatever. My daughter and I are going to find the walking track through the historic
remains of Fort Bribie’s gun placements which is about 1.5km walk, plus I think a similar distance
back up the beach to wherever the cars are parked.
The tide is out-going after an 11:30am high, so there will be plenty of beach for a leisurely return trip
down Ocean Beach to Woorim.
The drive is fairly easy and not hard on our Landy’s, but inland track can be very soft in some
sections, weather dependent.
A vehicle permit is required for this trip. Number plate recognition cameras are at the entrance and
exit, so you’ll get a fine in the mail if you don’t have a valid permit.
